I originally had mused to a friend of mine about getting an old brown leather helmet, an old 1920’s movie-style raygun, and modifying my pogo stick – to make the Commander Keen reference even MORE obscure! Now, recently there was a thread on a board we frequent to have art requests done. Naturally, what does he do? Go ahead and request steampunk Commander Keen! And that’s how this drawing came about.
So, without further ado, here it is, from its humble beginnings to its grand finish.
